BWW Review: World Premiere of FALL: Arthur Miller's Sad Secret

Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Arthur Miller was renowned and celebrated for his masterpiece DEATH OF A SALESMAN, as well as ALL MY SONS and THE CRUCIBLE, plays in which issues of morality took center stage. He refused to name names when called before the House Un-American Activities Committee, spoke out agains the Vietnam War, and was an activist in many social causes, allowing him to be seen as the moral conscience of the nation. However, Bernard Weinraub reveals Miller's feet of clay in the world premiere of his play FALL, directed by Peter DuBois at Huntington Theatre Company's Calderwood Pavilion.
True Story Of Playwright Arthur Miller's Secret Son Is Told In FALL

The Huntington Theatre Company presents the World Premiere of Fall, which tells the true story of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Arthur Miller's secret son Daniel, his child with third wife, Inge Morath. Born with Down syndrome, Daniel was institutionalized, and his existence was never acknowledged by his parents. Written by playwright and renowned journalist Bernard Weinraub (The Accomplices, Above the Fold), and directed by Huntington Artistic Director Peter DuBois, Fall runs May 18 - June 16, 2018 at the Huntington's Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts.
BWW Review: UNDER THE SKIN Gets Under the Skin

It's clear to me that Everyman Theatre company actor Megan Anderson knows her craft and performs it exceptionally well, given how she brought her character, Raina, to life in playwright Michael Hollinger's 'Under the Skin.' That's because I had to restrain myself, several times, from shouting from my seat that she was an ungrateful, affected, pretentious, New Agey, annoying Millennial (expletive), a particular demographic for which I have a Saudi-Arabian-oil-reserve-size dislike.

Theater For The New City will present Blind Angels by Dick Brukenfeld today, February 6-March 2. In this nail-biting drama directed by Melissa Attebery, a Jewish newsman (inspired by Daniel Pearl) is taken prisoner by a trio who are hitting New York with 'a small catastrophe to prevent a larger one.' The twist is, he has long relationships with two of his three 'hosts.' Not the usual suspects, they are integrated, successful, secular Muslims. Two are ivy league educated jet setters. Blind Angels explores why people who enjoy our way of life would turn against this country.

Dick Brukenfeld's BLIND ANGELS to Run 2/6-3/2 at Theater for the New City

'Blind Angels' by Dick Brukenfeld is a nail-biting drama in which a news reporter (inspired by Daniel Pearl) is taken prisoner by a group of cosmopolitan, integrated, successful, secular Muslims who are embarking on a terrorist attack. The twist is, he has long relationships with two of his three 'hosts'--one is his ex-fiancee and the other was his college roommate. They are playing an endgame scenario that dwarfs what any small fry terrorist has tried before and they need him to tell their story. Theater for the New City, 155 First Ave., will present the play's world premiere run February 6 to March 2, directed by Melissa Attebery.
