Teaching Young Actors Presents SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, Opening Today
Tickets are now on sale for Songs for a New World at Drama Learning Center in Columbia. This re-imagining by director Stephanie Lynn Williams and the TYA company turns the conventional interpretations of Jason Robert Brown's song cycle upside down by setting the piece in a future where Earth is on the verge of being destroyed and its history lost. Groups of people from various walks of life are selected for a mission to find a new world in the event that the planet is annihilated. Audiences will join them as they explore, remember, question, and move forward.

Teaching Young Actors Extends LES MISERABLES, 6/28-29
Due to an overwhelming response to their current production of Les Miserables (School Edition), Drama Learning Center's Teen Professional Company, TYA (Teaching Young Actors), announces that it will be extending its performance schedule for one more weekend from June 28-29 at Drama Learning Center in Columbia.

Hot off Broadway, Drama Learning Center will present the area premiere of the musical, Legally Blonde! Presented by Teaching Young Actors, Drama Learning Center's Teen Professional Company, the show will run on selected dates from January 20-29. Legally Blonde is directed by Stephanie Lynn Williams (DLC's owner and artistic director), with music direction by Tiffany Underwood Holmes, and choreography by Jenny Male.

This month the Drama Learning Center becomes the first resident theatre troupe in the Central Maryland area to produce the hit Broadway show Legally Blonde. The Teaching Young Actors (TYA) cast at the Drama Learning Center has been rehearsing for the past 3 months to bring the musical to local theater enthusiasts from January 20-January 29. Tickets are still available but are selling fast. TYA is the Drama Learning Center's Teen Professional Company.
