BIO

Bradley Halverson (they/them) is a Chicago based actor with a passion for Queer and Trans representation in media. Most recently Bradley was seen as Olivia in Twelfth Night (Backroom Shakespeare Project) where they are a frequent flyer, having also played in Romeo & Juliet, The Winter’s Tale, and Richard III. Other Chicago credits include playing Louise in Private Lives (Raven Theatre), Harriet Smith in Jane Austen’s Emma (First Folio Theatre), A Christmas Carol (Drury Lane Oakbrook), La Serenata (The Gift Theatre), Skyflint Part 1 (Haven Chicago), Cymbeline (Midsommer Flight), Extra Yarn (Lifeline Theatre), and many others. Bradley earned their BFA in Musical Theatre from CCPA at Roosevelt University and is represented by Shirley Hamilton Talent.

Full casting has been announced for Pride Films and Plays' production of the landmark British drama THE GREEN BAY TREE, which premiered in London's West End in 1933 and later that year made Laurence Olivier an international star when he played the lead on Broadway opposite his then-wife Jill Esmond. It was a scandalous hit in both London and New York. In THE GREEN BAY TREE, an infamous comedy of manipulation, a charming young man is forced to choose between the love of his fiancee, the lifestyle of his male mentor, and the prescription of his upbringing.

Jeremiah Alsop and Bradley Halverson have joined the cast of Pride Films and Plays' Chicago premiere of YANK! A WWII Love Story.  Halverson, whose recent credits include THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG with Brown Paper Box Company and HIGH FIDELITY with Refuge Theatre Project, is now playing Czechowski, the 'nice guy' of the platoon.  Alsop, a recent graduate of the Chicago College of Performing Arts, is playing India and is a member of the ensemble.
Pride Films And Plays' YANK! Extends to 3/18

Pride Films and Plays' Chicago premiere of YANK! A WWII Love Story will be extended by four weeks due to audience demand. David Zak, Executive Director of Pride Films and Plays, announced the extension today. The hit off-Broadway musical, which opened to the press in Chicago on January 18, is the story of a midwestern boy who joins the Army during World War II, falls in love with another soldier in his squad and is later introduced to the gay underground of the Armed Services through a journalist for the Army magazine YANK. Zak directs the musical, with Robert Ollis providing musical direction and Jenna Schoppe choreography.
