Sundance Institute Brings $182 Million in Economic Impact to Utah with 2019 Sundance Film Festival
The nonprofit Sundance Institute announced today that its 2019 Sundance Film Festival, which took place in Park City, Salt Lake City and Sundance, Utah from January 24 through February 3, generated a total economic impact of $182.5 million for the state of Utah. These numbers come from an economic impact study conducted by Y² Analytics, an independent market research and data analytics group now in their third year analyzing the full impact of the Festival, giving a full and consistent picture of the Festival's year-over-year economic benefits to the state's economy. This total is in addition to the economic impact of Sundance Institute's additional year round Utah-based programs, such as the Artist Labs and Summer Film Series. Â
Ars Nova Hosts OVER/UNDER UNPLUGGED, Three Free Concerts
Ars Nova, "one of the most adventurous Off-Broadway companies" (New York Times), under the leadership of Founding Artistic Director Jason Eagan and Managing Director Renee Blinkwolt, will host Over/Under Unplugged, a free concert series following select Friday evening performances of Andrew R. Butler's Rags Parkland Sings the Songs of The Future. Concerts will feature performers from The Future and special guests performing unplugged and up close. They'll #playforchange with any donations dropped in their bucket going to select charities including the National Network of Abortion Funds, The Trevor Project, and The National Eating Disorders Association.

Trinity Rep Sets Bilingual Summer Programming
Trinity Repertory Company, in partnership with Rhode Island Latino Arts, announces a new program, Shakespeare en el Verano (Shakespeare in the Summer). The inaugural production will premiere a bilingual English-Spanish adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Adapted by Arte Latino of New England (ALNE) director Saul Ramos and directed by Trinity Rep's associate artistic director Tyler Dobrowsky, the production will tour throughout Providence from July 9-July 23, 2016. All performances are free, open to the public and appropriate for all ages.
Princeton Summer Theater to Close Season with Sarah Ruhl's EURYDICE
Princeton Summer Theater's 2015 season, which focused on themes of adaption and myth, will come to a close with Obie Award-Winning playwright Sarah Ruhl's Eurydice. The final show of PST's season opens next Thursday at the Hamilton Murray Theater on Princeton University's campus.
