Multimedia Production RED LETTER JESUS Set for Provision Theater, 9/6-10/13

Non-profit Provision Theater Company launches its 2013-2014 season with Red Letter Jesus, a deeply moving new show of Jesus' words from the synoptic gospels (Matthew, Mark and Luke) performed with an original multimedia presentation, including stunning videography captured throughout Israel and Jordan. The production will run September 6 through October 13 with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m.and Sundays at 3:00 p.m. at Provision Theater, 1001 W. Roosevelt Rd., Chicago, IL.
BWW Interviews: Buford Welcomes Award-Winning GTA SouthernStage to New Home

For over three decades, the award-winning Gainesville Theatre Alliance (GTA), a collaboration between the recently renamed University of North Georgia and Brenau University, has been one of the premiere theatre's in Georgia. While many of GTA's shows feature guest professional actors, directors, and designers, the majority of the on and off-stage work is done by students. However, in 2012, in a collaboration with the city of Buford, they founded GTA SouthernStage, a professional resident company in the new Buford Community Center, Town Park, & Theatre. Through April 28th, GTA SouthernStage is concluding its first season with an outstanding professional production of 'Alfred Hitchock's The 39 Steps' (read BWW Atlanta's glowing review: 'You'd Be Psycho to Miss Amazing 39 STEPS at GTA's SouthernStage'), and has announced that a production of the recent Broadway hit 'Lombardi' will open their second season in their new home in August.
Theatre in the Square reveals the 30th Season and Commemorative Logo

The 2011-12 Season will mark Theatre in the Square's 30th anniversary season. The season will open with On Golden Pond (August 10 - September 11, 2011), which was the first production the theatre produced in September 1982. The additional four Main Stage productions include Ghost-Writer (September 28 - October 20, 2011); The Ladies Man (January 18 - February 26, 2012), based on the classic farce by Georges Feydeau, Tailleur Pour Dames; Flyin' West (March 7 - April 8, 2012),by Atlanta's own Pearl Cleage; and a fifth show to be announced, which will run April 25 - May 27, 2012. Georgia Shakespeare Concludes SEARCH FOR RALPHIE

Georgia Shakespeare announces that the city-wide competition The Search for Ralphie has come to a pitch-perfect conclusion. After four open calls across the city, semi-finals and finals rounds, 13-year-old Cooper Driskell has been selected to portray Ralphie on stage in this December's production of A Christmas Story. The competition also sought and found six other kids' roles: Ralphie's brother and his friends.
