Stefanie Nelson Dancegroup to Present EVERYONE DANCE Festival

Everyone Dance series started as a joint project of Stefanie Nelson Dancegroup and AHRC New York, providing movement classes and performance opportunities for disabled adults. The collaboration resulted in a workshop course that allowed people with intellectual disabilities not only to learn dance but also to teach it – as was the case with Ervine Haskins, a young man from Crown Heights who discovered his calling as a dance teacher when given an opportunity to instruct others. There is no one clear path to success, so Tony continues to value himself and trust that an act of kindness can change the world so deeply, he wrote a musical about it.
