If you happened to be at Barbra's wedding to James Brolin you know that Ann's lyrics were sung by Barbra to the groom.

There are two venues in the world that offer a combination of old world ambience and great entertainment. In Manhattan it's Cafe Carlyle in The Carlyle and in Palm Beach Florida the historic Colony Hotel's Royal Room shares the distinction. Photo Coverage: Deana Martin Celebrates Dean Martin's 100th at Legend Radio Concert Gala
This is what it must have been like in the golden years of Las Vegas. The darkened room, an off-stage announcement 'Ladies and Gentleman, The Sands Hotel is proud to present'... then starts the glorious harmonic blaring arrangements of a Count Basie sounding orchestra blasting the intro..next…..casually strolling out, one of the coolest looking singers ever, drink in hand, turns to his musical director and asks 'How long have I been on'? Deana Martin brought you back to those years when her dad and 'Uncle Frank' had the world on a string at Dick Robinson's Legend Radio's Gala Concert in Palm Beach Florida. It was a a spectacular concert show of 'Deana Sings Dino' celebrating her father's 100th birthday. The proud daughter brought along her 18-piece orchestra to let the fans hear what it sounded like back in the day. It's in the genes, and Deana Martin with an effervescent personality and brilliant command of a stage, vocally reminds you of all the music that still thrills millions. You even got to see some touching family home movies and legendary performance clips of Dean & Jerry. Legend Radio's event also celebrated it's 3rd birthday event and Dick Robinson is not just preserving the Great American Songbook, he's creating a whole new chapter.

Photo Coverage: Sally Mayes Comes to Live at Lynn
Just like the breakfast specials in the sunshine state which cost you half as much as those offered around Columbus Circle, Lynn University audiences are now getting the best of Cabaret at a similar discount. Artistic Director KT Sullivan has connected The Mabel Mercer Foundation's Live at Lincoln Center to producer Jan McArt's Live at Lynn Cabaret Series. I don't have a photo of the Florida Hat KT wore when she opened the new series with her performance in January, but I do have plenty of photos of the Broadway and Cabaret star Sally Mayes in last nights wonderful performance at the Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center. Jan and KT chose wisely in having a singer/actor of Sally's caliber take the stage of "Live at Lynn" to represent the excellence from Cabaret at Lincoln Center. Sally's theatrical voice and jazz vocals thrilled the salt & pepper haired Boca audience. It was wonderful to see the Florida crowd tapping their feet to a jazz waltz. I don't think it was because Sally sang a great tune about Viagra in the water that made the Lynn audience rise to their feet, she gave them a fun filled superb musical evening. Talking about jazz waltzes, Boca is in for a real treat when Marilyn Maye is "Live at Lynn" on June 7th, but first audiences will be treated to Eric Yves Garcia April 1, and Carol Woods on May 20th, two quality performers from the Mabel Mercer reservoir of talent.
