Tribeca Film Festival 2019 Announces Feature Film Lineup
The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today unveiled its feature film lineup. Continuing its tradition of elevating exceptional storytelling rooted in today's global film communities, the 18th annual Festival will showcase debut works from emerging talent and new works from notable filmmakers. The program includes discoveries, comedies, music-centered, political and social films. The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 24 - May 5.
USA Network Unveils Spring Schedule
USA Network announced its full spring schedule today, which includes scripted originals COLONY (May 2), QUEEN OF THE SOUTH (June 21) and SHOOTER (June 21) all returning for exciting and action-packed third seasons. As was previously announced, SUITS returns for the back half of Season 7 on March 28. Also returning this spring is unscripted original CHRISLEY KNOWS BEST, which premieres its sixth season on May 8 and celebrates its 100th episode on June 19.
USA Network's SHOOTER Picked Up For Season 3
It was reported today via TV Guide that the USA Network has picked up SHOOTER for a third season. The Ryan Philippe vehicle will be back sometime in 2018, following a shortened second season because the actor broke his leg. The third season is set to run for 13 episodes, making it the longest season in the shows history to date. Read the full TV Guide article here!
SMACKDOWN Going Live on USA Network Beginning in July
USA Network, the exclusive cable home to WWE's marquee properties, announced that its weekly SMACKDOWN show will air live – for the first time ever – and move to Tuesdays every week beginning July 19 from 8-10PM ET/PT.
USA Orders Series Based on 2007 Film SHOOTER; Ryan Phillippe to Star
USA Network announced a series pick-up for SHOOTER, a drama based on the best-selling Bob Lee Swagger novel by Stephen Hunter, Point of Impact, and the 2007 Paramount film starring Mark Wahlberg. The co-production with Paramount Television and Universal Cable Productions comes from executive producers Wahlberg (“Ballers,” “Boardwalk Empire”) of Closest to the Hole Productions; Stephen Levinson (“Ballers,” “Boardwalk Empire”) of Leverage Entertainment; and Lorenzo di Bonaventura ('Transformers,' 'The Real O'Neals'). John Hlavin (“The Shield”) wrote the pilot and will also executive produce. Simon Cellan Jones (“Bloodline”) directed the pilot.
USA Network Announces 2015/16 Development Slate
USA Network announced its 2015/2016 development slate with nine scripted drama projects hailing from Charlize Theron ('Monster'), Rob Reiner ('When Harry Met Sally') Barry Sonnenfeld ('Men in Black' franchise), Eric Kripke ('Supernatural,' 'Revolution'), Aaron Korsh (SUITS) and Catherine Hardwicke ('Twilight'), among others.
Street Corner Arts to Present THE NORTH PLAN, 12/6-21
The North Plan is Street Corner Arts' return to the fast-paced, politically-charged world of Jason Wells, writer of their 2011 hit, Men of Tortuga. This pitch-black comedy will have its regional premiere at Hyde Park Theatre (511 W. 43rd St.) in Austin, Texas from December 6 to December 21, 2013.
City Parks Foundation Kicks Off SUMMERSTAGE 2013 July 15 - July 29; Full Schedule
City Parks Foundation has just recently launched the 2013 season of SummerStage presented by AT&T, New York's largest free performing arts festival, bringing over 100 free performances to seventeen parks throughout the five boroughs. With performances ranging from Soul, Hip-Hop, Latin and Opera music to dance, comedy and theater, SummerStage fills a vital niche in New York City's summer arts festival landscape. Since its inception twenty-eight years ago, more than six million people from New York City and around the world have enjoyed SummerStage. The festival runs from June 4th until August 29th.
