Le Petit Theatre Extends A CHRISTMAS CAROL!

Le Petit Theatre is kicking-off the holiday season with their first-annual production of Charles Dickens' beloved tale, A Christmas Carol. In addition to spreading holiday cheer, the company intends to make this production a perennial favorite for generations of New Orleanians. Most everyone knows the classic tale of miserly and menacing moneylender Ebenezer Scrooge, but not everyone has experienced watching him learn lessons in love, generosity, and redemption live and in person as he is visited by a host of spirits on Christmas Eve. This production is filled with magic, ghosts, glorious costumes, a stunning set design, and holiday cheer.

The Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans returns to Zeitgeist Multi-Disciplinary Arts Center for its annual offering for the Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival.  One Arm follows Ollie Olsen, a young veteran who is mangled in a car accident and has to resort to desperate measures to get through his most desperate times. Set against the backdrop of the French Quarter in the 1930s and 40s, this is a darker look at the Crescent City than many of Williams' works. 
Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans to Present SMALL CRAFT WARNINGS

The recently-formed Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans will present Small Craft Warnings, an introspective and comedic play written late in Tennessee Williams' life. The raucous yet touching production stars LaKesha Glover (as Leona), James Wright (as Monk), Robert Alan Mitchell (as Doc), Bob Edes, Jr. (as Quentin), Natalie Jones (as Violet), Jordan Kaplan (as Steve), Gavin Robinson (as Bobby), and Matt Madden (as Bill). It will be directed by TWTC Co-Artistic Director Augustin J Correro.

Southern Rep Extends THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA Through 4/13

In response to overwhelming public demand and positive critical reception, Southern Rep is extending the run for its current production, Tennessee Williams' THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA at The Art Klub on 527 Elysian Fields Avenue, through April 13, 2014. Originally slated to close April 6, the extension will add an additional four performances to THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA's schedule. The show times for the new performances are Thursday - Saturday at 7:30 pm, and a Sunday Matinee at 2:00 pm.
