Billey Edis was born Sybil Mai Blundell in 1906, the daughter of Beatrice May Hayward and Ernest Charles Blundell. She took the name Edis from her mother's second husband.
The first record of her using the name Billy Edis, actress was on the 27 October 1925 when a passenger the Caronia travelling to New York.
Billey Edis is included in the chorus of 'The Charlot Revue' which ran for 138 performances between 10th November 1925 and 6th March 1926.
Some time after this she Possibly married Harold Austin, an actor with credits in 21 films, writer and film director.
A photograph of Billey with her mother and sister was taken in New York in 1929 and an inscription reads, Sybil is the one who married Reginald Owen.
Reginald Owen appeared in 66 films between 1911 and 1971. He died in 1972 aged 85. His Wikepedia entry shows his second wife as Mrs Harold Austin (stage actress).
On 9th February 1938 she traveled again from Southampton to New York as Billey Owen aboard the Berengaria.
Billey Edis Owen died 18th October 1956 in California. Her mother's maiden name is given as Hayward and her fathers surname as Edis.
She was married to Reginald Owen until her death and they had no children.
