Audiences will no doubt recognize the quintessential American musical West Side Story when its latest revival opens next week. Its unforgettable music, lyrics and story are the same. But this radical reimagining injects a modern twist to the classic story: a video element meant to intensify and augment the action. Bill Whitaker and 60 MINUTES cameras were given unprecedented access to the production, filming its rehearsals and interviewing its creators. The story about the new West Side Story will be broadcast on 60 MINUTES Sunday, Feb. 16 (7:00-8:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
CBS Renews Six More Dramas and Two News Programs For 2019-2020

CBS announced today that it has renewed six more drama series and two news programs for the 2019-2020 broadcast season. SEAL TEAM, S.W.A.T., MADAM SECRETARY, BULL, HAWAII FIVE-0 and MACGYVER will return to the CBS lineup next season, along with longstanding primetime news shows 60 MINUTES and 48 HOURS. With these pickups, CBS has now renewed 18 series for next year.
RATINGS: 60 MINUTES is Number One For Second Straight Time

60 MINUTES topped the Nielsen List for the second straight week, drawing 12.6 million viewers to once again land at # 1, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, March 31, 2019.  It was the fifth straight week – and the 14th time this season – the CBS News magazine finished among the top five programs. 
60 MINUTES is the Week's Top Non-Sports Program

Once again, 60 MINUTES was the # 1 non-sports program for the week.  The CBS News magazine drew 12 million viewers to land at # 3, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Dec. 23.  It was the second week in which only NFL Football drew larger primetime audiences than 60 MINUTES – which also bested the season 15 finale of “The Voice” on NBC (9.89 million).
60 MINUTES is Number One Non-Sports Program for the Week

60 MINUTES was the # 1 non-sports program for the week.  The CBS News magazine drew a season-best 14.55 million viewers to land at # 3, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Dec. 16.  It was ninth time in 12 weeks that 60 MINUTES made the Top 10 -- six times at # 5 or better -- and the broadcast's best delivery in viewers since March.
