Franklin Performing Arts Company Announces HUMBUG! Casting; Opens 12/19
The Franklin Performing Arts Company is pleased to announce the cast for its original Holiday Musical, Humbug! More than 200 professional and local amateur singers and dancers will participate in FPAC's new adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic, A Christmas Carol which runs for 3 performances December 19 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 and December 20th at 2 pm at the Thomas D. Mercer Auditorium, 224 Oak Street in Franklin.

The Franklin Performing Arts Company is pleased to announce that the 2nd annual 'Whatever Theater Festival' is planned for Wednesday, July 29th through Saturday, August 1st. The first production of the Whatever Theater Festival is a medley of one-act plays which will presented at Franklin School for the Performing Arts , 38 Main Street, Franklin, on Wednesday evening, July 29th at 8:00 PM. This wonderful collection of short plays range from silly and strange to mysterious and thought provoking. Tickets for these performances can be purchased at the door and are $10 per adult and $5 per student.

On Thursday, July 29 and Friday July 30, at 8:00 PM (weather permitting) the public is invited at attend a free presentation of MacBeth, Shakespeare's tragedy about the lust for power and its bloody repercussions which will feature Artistic Director, Nick Paone in the title role.

The score, written by Cole Porter, is regarded as his best work and will feature professional orchestra with a large cast of area performers. Audiences of all ages will enjoy the madcap antics aboard an ocean liner bound from New York to London with non-stop laughter, song and dance. This age-old tale of Boy-Meets-Girl and the complications which ensue are told through many of Cole Porter's most well known songs including 'Friendship', 'I Get a Kick out of You' and 'It's Delovely'.
