Whoopi Goldberg Says HOCUS POCUS 2 Success Led to SISTER ACT 3 Happening
On The View, Goldberg revealed to her Sister Act co-star Kathy Najimy that Sister Act 3 'is happening' and that she will be getting a script at the end of the month. Goldberg attributed Disney's interest in the project to the success of Hocus Pocus 2. Goldberg has also teased the film with Tyler Perry and Jenifer Lewis.

Winners Announced for 14th Annual AUGUST WILSON MONOLOGUE COMPETITION
Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company announced winners of its 14th Annual August Wilson Monologue Competition National Finals, held virtually on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 7pm ET. The first place winner was Taloria Merricks from Atlanta; second place, Taylor Jackson from Atlanta; and third place, Tyla Uzo from Los Angeles.
Summer Exhibitions And Events Announced At The Guggenheim Museum
From June 18 through September 3, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is open until 9 pm for Summer Tuesdays, offering music and refreshments in the museum rotunda in addition to exhibitions on view in the galleries. Films, conversations, and performances enhance opportunities for visitors to engage with the museum and the Frank Lloyd Wright designed building that celebrates 60 years as an architectural icon in 2019. Also starting in June, Summer of Know, a conversation series addressing urgent issues through the generative lens of art, returns to the Guggenheim, featuring artists, activists, and other professionals discussing topics such as LGBTQIA+ rights in a global context, environmental activism, and housing rights. Alliance Theatre to Present BLUES FOR AN ALABAMA SKY, Starring Crystal Fox
The Alliance Theatre has announced its upcoming production of Blues for an Alabama Sky, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the production's world premiere at the Alliance in 1995. Written by beloved Atlanta author and playwright, Pearl Cleage (What I Learned in Paris, The Nacirema Society…) and directed by Alliance Theatre Jennings Hertz Artistic Director Susan V. Booth, Blues for an Alabama Sky is a timeless look at hopeful dreams in the hopeless days of the waning Harlem Renaissance. Opening night is Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
