While much of the attention on research at UCI is directed at the sciences – especially those relating to the health of people and the planet – for decades, the Claire Trevor School of the Arts has also generated research, although to much less notice. Every ten years, the United States hosts an historic event in which people from around the world come together to honor the postage stamp. This year's eight-day celebration entitled: World Stamp Show-NY 2016 is scheduled from May 28th to June 4th, 2016, at the Javits Center located at 655 West 34th Street in New York City. In addition to hundreds of thousands stamps from around the world, this year's exhibition will include the world's most valuable postage stamp, John Lennon's childhood stamp album, vintage postal vehicles, and much more.

On Monday, February 23rd, New York Theatre Barn will present NYTB @ The Duplex, the monthly cabaret series that highlights new composers, lyricists, and performers. The evening will feature The Oh So Sexy Songs of Bill Nelson, with performances by Rob Broadhurst, Joe Cassidy (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Bill Gross, Bill Nelson, Luke Redmond, Erica Robinson, and Wesley Taylor, with musical direction and accompaniment by Marc Evans.
