Winner of the 1997 Tony Award winner for Best Play as well as a Pulitzer Prize, Alfred Uhry's a?oeThe Last Night of Ballyhooa?? will open at 7:30 p.m. Saturday evening, March 14, at The White Theatre, located at The J, 5801 W. 115th St., in Overland Park. Additional evening performances are Thursday, March 19, and Saturday, March 21. Two matinee performances are Sundays, March 15 and 22 with a 2 p.m. curtain. Theatre Royal Bath Has Appointed Deborah Warner as New Artistic Director of the Ustinov Studio

Theatre Royal Bath has announced the appointment of internationally acclaimed and multi-award-winning theatre and opera director Deborah Warner as the new Artistic Director of the Ustinov Studio. KCAT Announces Cast And Crew Of A DOLL'S HOUSE

Kansas City Actors Theatre has completed casting for its production of Henrik Ibsen's "A Doll's House," which will run from August 7 to August 25, 2019 at the City Stage in Union Station. The production will be adapted and directed by Darren Sextro, who recently directed "Skylight" and "My Old Lady" for Kansas City Actors Theatre. This production will feature Hillary Clemens, Todd Lanker, Christina Schafer, Tyler Alan Rowe, Brian Paulette, Carla Noack, Aria Smith, and Drew Squire. The production will also feature set design by Kelli Harrod, costumes by Sarah M. Oliver, lighting design by Shane Rowse, sound design by David Kiehl, properties design by Bill Christie, and technical direction by Kyle Dyck.

Raising issues as relevant today as they were when it was written years ago, INHERIT THE WIND uses the Scopes Monkey Trial to explore this complex - and sometimes adversarial -- relationship.

Kansas City Actors Theatre has completed casting for its production of Sam Shepard's "A Lie of the Mind," the second show of its thirteenth season, which will run from September 13th to October 1st at the H&R Block City Stage in Union Station. The production will be directed by Cinnamon Schultz and will star Forrest Attaway, Hillary Clemens, Merle Moores, Gary Neal Johnson, Brian Paulette, Jan Rogge, Christina Schafer and Jake Walker. The production team includes Bret Engle (scenic designer), Bill Christie (properties designer), Gretchen Halle (costumer designer), Ashley Kok (lighting designer), Jonathan Robertson (sound designer), and Kyle Dyck (technical director). The production will also feature the original music of local band The Country Duo (Kasey Rausch & Marco Pascolini).

BWW Review: OF MICE AND MEN Opens at the White Theatre

John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men opened on Saturday night at the White Theatre inside the Jewish Community Center in Overland Park, Kansas. Bill Christie directs one of the finest productions of the tragic play produced in the Kansas City area. John Steinbeck's books and plays, though classics, are not for everyone, but the production at the White Theatre is of such a high quality it should not be missed.
White Theatre Announces 10th Anniversary Season, Including FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and SHREK

The hit musical Fiddler on the Roof will open the 10th season at the White Theatre. A partnership with The Theatre in the Park, Shrek,will close it. And there will be all sorts of variety in between, announced JCC Director of Cultural Arts Krista Blackwood. "Fiddler on the Roof and Shrek will make great bookends to our 10th season in the Lewis and Shirley White Theatre," Blackwood said.
