Today, SHOWTIME announced that the Emmy®-winning documentary series VICE, known for delivering longform, on-the-ground journalism and newsworthy explorations of our world today, will premiere across all SHOWTIME platforms on Sunday, March 29, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The 13-episode season will continue to air weekly on Sundays. The series has delivered crucial in-depth journalism from the frontlines of global conflict, including civil uprisings in Iraq, Syria, Yemen and beyond, and has provided perspective on some of the world's most pressing issues, from LGBTQ rights and the climate crisis to immigration and gun control. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc., at the Television Critics Association's Winter Press Tour.
Hulu & Vice Will Launch New Documentary Series VICE INVESTIGATES
Today, Hulu announced the premiere of the provocative new series VICE Investigates from the award-winning producers and correspondents at VICE News. The Hulu Original will feature stories told through a distinct reporting lens, immersive narratives and fresh perspectives on the important -- and sometimes controversial -- issues defining today's culture. Hulu has ordered a ten-episode season of VICE Investigates, which will stream exclusively on Hulu launching the first three episodes on Friday, November 1, 2019, followed by monthly, one episode per month, premieres beginning in December.
NBC News Wins Five Murrow Awards
NBC News and MSNBC have been honored with five national 2010 Edward R. Murrow awards, more than any other network. The national and local winners were announced today by The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) and will be presented at the RTDNA awards dinner New York on October 11, 2010. The Murrow awards honor excellence in electronic journalism.
