The 5th Avenue Theatre and the Abingdon Theatre Company, will present a 29 Hour reading of a beautiful new musical, Corner of Bitter & Sweet, book by Lainie Sakakura, music & lyrics by Paul Fujimoto on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 2:30pm Theatre 71 | 152 West 71st Street, NYC.

Following a successful 23rd Annual Festival of New Musicals held in NYC Oct. 27-28. The National Alliance for Musical Theatre held a party at Southern Hospitality. This year's Festival attaracted over 650 people representing 300 organizations from around the country including Europe attending the eight new musicals that were presented. 5th Avenue's Season Closes with OKLAHOMA!
The 5th Avenue has announced the seven productions that make up its 2010-2011 Season, which includes a mix of premieres of new works, the hottest shows direct from Broadway and Golden Age classics featuring Seattle's favorite performers and artists.
The 5th Avenue Theatre Announces 2011-12 Season Auditions
In March and April, The 5th Avenue Theatre will be holding general auditions for singers, actors, and dancers to fill both principal and ensemble roles in its 2011-12 season productions. An unprecedented six of the seven shows in the 2011-12 season will be produced by The 5th Avenue Theatre. Those productions are Saving Aimee, Cinderella, First Date, Oklahoma!, Damn Yankees, and Rent.

The 5th Avenue Theatre and ACT - A Contemporary Theatre are proud to announce the Northwest premiere of Vanities: A New Musical, running at ACT from February 4 to May 1, 2011. With a book by Jack Heifner (who wrote the original play on which the musical is based) and music and lyrics by David Kirshenbaum, Vanities: A New Musical focuses on the friendship of three women who journey from high school innocence in the early '60s of the Kennedy era to maturity in the 'me-centered' ‘80s. As the story moves across the decades, their relationship is tested both by the world and each other.

Back by popular demand, The 5th Avenue Theatre is pleased to welcome the exuberant holiday amusement Sing-along Sound of Music on Saturday, January 1, and Sunday, January 2. Taking its cue from the classic line from the much-loved film, 'Life is not just meant to be watched - you're supposed to sing along,' this evening of musical interactivity gives audiences a chance to boo the Baroness and the Nazis, cheer the plucky Von Trapps, and sing along to every well-known number in the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein score.
