Full casting has been announced for Rain Man, the inaugural production of Bill Kenwright's Classic Screen to Stage Theatre Company. Joining the previously announced Gavin and Stacey's Mathew Horne (Raymond) and Downtown Abbey's Ed Speleers (Charlie) is: Mairi Barclay (Pippin), Hannah Barker, Elizabeth Carter (Dreamboats and Petticoats), Adam Lilley (The 39 Steps), Neil Roberts (Mamma Mia!) and Joe Sellman Leava (Monster).

Bill Kenwright presents the inaugural Classic Screen to Stage Theatre Company production of RAIN MAN. Mathew Horne (Gavin & Stacey, The Catherine Tate Show) stars as Raymond Babbit opposite Ed Speleers (Downton Abbey, Wolf Hall) as Charlie Babbit. RAIN MAN opens at Windsor Theatre Royal on 21 August, before embarking on a UK tour to Milton Keynes, Cardiff, Eastbourne, Southend, Edinburgh, Cambridge, Brighton, Guildford, Leeds, Richmond, Derby and Northampton. Further dates and casting to be announced in due course.

For me, Anthony Newley is Matthew Mugg. It wouldn't be until 2015 that I discovered that Anthony Newley is responsible for some of my favorite music, and that he wrote a ton of material with Leslie Bricusse. This piqued my curiosity in Stage Door Records' release of ANTHONY NEWLEY SINGS " THE GOOD OLD BAD OLD DAYS!," which is an altogether fun and somewhat important album for historical reasons.

Stage and screen stars Kevin Spacey and Ian McKellen are among the winners of the 2009 Variety Club Showbiz Award winners. Spacey took home the award for Outstanding contribution to British Theatre, while McKellen won The Bernard Delfont Award for outstanding contribution to Showbusiness. The awards were announced November 14th at the Grosvenor House Hotel.
