Spiritual Teacher and Medium James Van Praagh to Return to Encinitas

Encinitas, CA -- Seaside Center for Spiritual Living is excited to announce it will once again host James Van Praagh, internationally respected spiritual pioneer and one of the world's most celebrated mediums. Van Praagh's 2015 performance at Seaside Center sold out prior to the event. His appearances feature an insight into the mind-full awareness on the subject of 'communication with the dead' that Van Praagh has shepherded into the public psyche for the past thirty years. The event is on Friday, May 27, at 7:00 PM. All are welcome to attend.

The Elegy Project will present the Chicago premiere of Elegy, October 31 - December 1, written by Ron Hirsen and directed by Dennis Zacek at the Richard Christiansen Theater at Victory Gardens Biograph, 2433 Lincoln Ave. Preview performances are Thursday, Oct. 31 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2 at 5 and 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 3 at 3 p.m. Opening/press night is Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. and will be followed by a reception. The performance schedule is Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 5 and 8:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. There is no performance Thursday, Nov. 28 and an added performance Sunday, Dec. 1 at 7:00 p.m. Ticket prices are $30 for previews, $48 for opening night and $42 for the regular run. Piven Theatre Workshop will host a pre-show event in observance of Holocaust Remembrance Day on April 11, 2010 at 1:15PM, prior to the matinee performance of Number of People. The hour long program will feature speeches by Rabbi Josh Feigelson, Campus Rabbi & Senior Director Fiedler Hillel at Northwestern University, and Fr. John Karjte, Chaplain and Director of the Sheil Catholic Center at Northwestern University; a special performance of 'Raining Season' by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's Teen Committee on Conscience; and Hannah Senesch's song 'Eili, Eili' led by David Y. Chack, President of the Association for Jewish Theatre.
