Based on the motion picture written by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Guillaume Laurant, 'Amelie, A New Musical' will have its Broadway premiere at the Walter Kerr Theatre, beginning performances on March 9, 2017 and opening April 3, 2017. A brand new production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic THE SOUND OF MUSIC launched its national tour at the Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre last night, September 30 at 8 p.m. Directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien, the production closes in Los Angeles on October 31, 2015, and will then tour North America for multiple seasons, playing multi-week and week-long engagements. SULLIVAN & SON Comedy Tour to Play Pittsburgh's Byham Theater, 8/9
On August 9th, 2013 Pittsburgh native Steve Byrne will return to the city where he grew up when he takes the stage at the Byham Theater at 8:00 p.m. as part of the Sullivan & Son Comedy Tour. Byrne will be joined by fellow cast mates Owen Benjamin, Roy Wood Jr., and Ahmed Ahmed on the tour, each of whom is an accomplished comedian in their own right. In a 2012 interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Byrne recounts, "I'm from Pittsburgh and I love it. It's a huge part of who I am," and explains that he hopes to "capture the essence of what is Pittsburgh," through the bar depicted on the Sullivan & Son television show.
