New Stage Theatre Announces the Cast for SWEET POTATO QUEENS
New Stage Theatre presents the new musical Sweet Potato Queens March 13 - 24, 2019. Curtain times and dates for performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Sundays. Ticket prices are $35.00 with discounts available for students, senior citizens, and groups. Tickets can be purchased at the box office, located inside the Jane Reid Petty Theatre Center, charged by phone by calling the theatre at (601) 948-3531 or ordered online at www.newstagetheatre.com. Sponsored by Sid Davis, Chairman of the Board Peoples Bank Mendenhall.

WISCONSIN DEATH TRIP Staged Reading Set for Manhattan Theatre Club's Creative Center, 9/7
Troubled souls grapple with diphtheria, infant mortality, and cocaine addiction, among other obstacles, in Lizzie Vieh's new drama, Wisconsin Death Trip, based on the book by Michael Lesy. The play will have its debut reading at Manhattan Theatre Club's Creative Center on Sunday, September 7th. Another developmental reading will follow on Monday, September 8th, at ART/NY's Bruce Mitchell Room. Both readings will begin at 7PM.

This past Sunday, May 18th, the sold out audience at the first NY revival of William Inge's A LOSS OF ROSES included Inge's nephew, James A. Mahan, as well as Mahan's children and grandchildren. They joined the cast onstage afterwards for a full family & company portrait. On behalf of the family, James Mahan's daughter Sandra wrote the following to the production the next day: 'A heartfelt thank you for having us! We so enjoyed the play and meeting the cast. Clearly everyone involved with this production put much heartfelt energy into it. Your theater has such a very warm and inviting feel which we embraced!'

The Company aims to present actor-driven productions of plays from the classical to the contemporary. Performances of 'As You Like It' run from April 10 to April 27, 2014, at Theaterlab's new space on west 36th Street.
