John Benjamin Hickey to Lead Amazon MGM Pilot BAND
According to reports, Tony Award-winning actor John Benjamin Hickey will be starring in a pilot for a new series from Amazon MGM Studios called Band. The series comes from real-life couple Daniel and Ben Barnz who previously helmed the Max series Genera+ion.

These eight new episodes complete the sixteen-episode first season. GENERA+ION is a dark yet playful half-hour series following a diverse group of high school students whose exploration of modern sexuality (devices and all) tests deeply entrenched beliefs about life, love and the nature of family in their conservative community.

HBO Max Greenlights GENERATION to Series
HBO Max has greenlit the half-hour dramedy, Generation, which marks the streamer's first pilot to get a full series order. The series is created by 18-year old Zelda Barnz and her father Daniel Barnz who also directs. Executive produced by Lena Dunham and Ben Barnz, Generation is a dark yet playful half-hour following a group of high school students whose exploration of modern sexuality (devices and all) tests deeply entrenched beliefs about life, love and the nature of family in their conservative community.
HBO Max Orders Three New Pilots, Including PRACTICAL MAGIC Prequel
According to Variety, HBO Max has given a pilot order to three brand new series: 'Generation,' 'Red Bird Lane,' and 'Rules of Magic.' The latter is based on Alice Hoffman's novel--it is a prequel to 'Practical Magic,' which was adapted for film in the late nineties.
Malin Akerman to NBC's Legal Drama Pilot PRISM
Malin Akerman will star in the NBC legal drama pilot Prism, according to Deadline. The pilot hails from Daniel and Ben Barnz's We're Not Brothers Productions, Carol Mendelsohn and Julie Weitz.
