Palm Beach Dramaworks to Host DOWNTOWN HOEDOWN 2023 Gala

​​​​​​​Dust off your cowboy boots, pull on your favorite pair of jeans, entertain visions of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, and high step it over to the West Palm Beach Marriott for a “Downtown Hoedown,” Palm Beach Dramaworks' first Gala since 2020. The Gala takes place on Saturday, March 18, beginning at 6:30pm. Penny Bank is the Chair.

Palm Beach Dramaworks Announces Casting for Virtual Live Reading of A CHRISTMAS CAROL

A who’s who in the history of Palm Beach Dramaworks is set to participate in a live reading of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol on Monday evening, December 21 at 7:30pm. In the tradition of Dickens reading his own work, this presentation will showcase PBD luminaries reading the 1843 novella, with each artist separately performing a portion of the book before handing off to the next actor.

Craig Ketter to Perform Ullmann Piano Sonata No. 1 on PREFORMANCES WITH ALLISON CHARNEY

In each of its seasons "PREformances with Allison Charney" turns the spotlight on the virtuosity of the concert series' extraordinarily talented collaborative pianist, Craig Ketter. When he assumes center stage onMarch 13th Mr. Ketter will take the opportunity to play the infrequently performed music of 20th century composer, pianist and conductor Viktor Ullmann. Over the past decade pianist Craig Ketter has collaborated with colleagues in "The Ullmann Project," bringing the music Viktor Ullmann and a lost generation of musicians stifled by the Nazi regime to a broader audience. As with all PREformances' special guests, Mr. Ketter's performance anticipates a special, future engagement - in this case, a recording project of the complete piano sonatas of Viktor Ullmann.

Palm Beach Dramaworks has announced "Some Enchanted Evening' will be the new theme of its 14th annual Spring Gala, an evening of dinner and entertainment on Friday, March 14th (6:30PM) to benefit and celebrate West Palm Beach's longest residing theatre company. At a recent planning meeting, Gala chairpersons Louise & Barry Snyder announced the evening will feature a south seas theme along with musical performances by America's leading baritone William Michals. Not only did Mr. Michals win over critics and audiences this past summer playing the lead in Dramaworks' highly acclaimed production of Man of La Mancha, he also took Broadway by storm with his performance in the landmark revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific at Lincoln Center!
