BIO

Barnaby was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire and he trained locally before being given a place at the Royal Ballet School at the age of 11. Whilst attending he took part in many performances alongside the Royal Ballet Company at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. He also performed in galas for Dame Ninette de Valois and Sir Anthony Dowell and for many members of the Royal Family including Her Majesty the Queen.



Upon graduation in 2004 Barnaby joined the Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam where he danced numerous works by choreographers including Forsythe, Robbins, Ashton and Balanchine.

Musical theatre credits include Young Pip in Great Expectations (Leeds Grand Theatre) and Gypsy (West Yorkshire Playhouse) directed by Jude Kelly.

Dance Stage Version Of KES REIMAGINED Will Be Live Streamed For Free

Kes Reimagined,created by award-winning choreographer Jonathan Watkins, will be made available to watch online via The Space for free from Tuesday 19 May at 7pm and available for 30 days.

Ken Loach's film Kes was a huge success in 1969. Now, five decades later and Kes Reimagined revisits the story of youngster Billy Casper and the kestrel which he trains. The new film, by award-winning choreographer Jonathan Watkins and director Ross MacGibbon, premiered at Leeds International Film Festival last week and will be broadcast on BBC Four on Tuesday 19 November at 10pm.

Gillian Elisa to Succeed Ann Emery in West End's BILLY ELLIOT

Gillian Elisa has been confirmed to play Grandma in the internationally award-winning West End hit Billy Elliot the Musical, having previously alternated in the role. This weekend saw a record breaking twenty-five former and current Billy Elliots come together on stage in a specially choreographed mash-up finale of Billy Elliot the Musical. This unique performance was broadcast live to eight countries from the show's West End home at the Victoria Palace Theatre. All three original Billy Elliots - James Lomas, George Maguire and Liam Mower - took part in a spectacular finale as the broadcast, the widest ever cinema release of a live event, hit number one at the UK box office.
