Little Yellow House Studio 'Spotlight Tuesday,' a virtual conversation series, returns for a second season throughout the month of October, featuring Vermont theater artists Barbara Lloyd on October 5th and Reva Stover on October 19th.
AN EVENING WITH JOHN WILKES BOOTH Comes to Theatre West
John Wilkes Booth (1838-1865) was notable on several accounts. He was a successful and wealthy actor, and member of a celebrated show business family (son of Junius Brutus Booth and brother to Edwin and Junius Jr.). One critic called him 'the handsomest man in America.' Walt Whitman called him a genius. But this Booth would ultimately become known as the assassin of President Abraham Lincoln.

Christopher Lloyd To Open Weston's Main Stage
Weston Playhouse Theatre is ready to launch the 2018 Main Stage season with Christopher Lloyd starring in Our Town-a fresh take on a timeless classic. The Pulitzer Prize-winning play focuses on the small, fictional town of Grover's Corners, where ordinary people lead extraordinary lives. This simple yet profound story of community, brought to life by Thornton Wilder's singular voice, remains one of the most loved plays of all time.

Schwartz (who will also direct), music by Matt Dahan (who will serve as musical director) and lyrics by Lloyd J. Schwartz & Anthony Gruppuso, with musical staging by Gene Castle. Just announced, the musical will end its limited engagement on January 7th, 2017.

Best-known for his roles in The Amazing Spider-Man, Royal Pains and The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Campbell Scott takes to the Weston Playhouse stage for Anton Chekhov's wistful comedy, Uncle Vanya. Scott is playing the role of Astrov, the forlorn visionary philosopher in this timeless play in which tempers flare and passions are ignited when an aging professor returns with his beautiful young wife to his family's country estate. In an interesting spin, the Weston production is set in contemporary Vermont. This last show of the season is sponsored by the Vermont Country Store and has a limited engagement, today, August 28 - September 6.

Written more than half a century ago, Harper Lee's novel remains a beloved bestseller and is quite possibly one of the most influential novels of the 20th Century. Compassionate and deeply moving, the American masterpiece portraying racial injustice in the deep south will grace the Weston Playhouse stage for the first time.
