The traditional Harlem Holiday Lights celebration, a production coordinated by Barbara Askins, the president & CEO of the 125th Street Business Improvement District (BID), in partnership with Manhattan Community Boards 9 and 10, as well as Mount Morris Park Community Improvement Association, is focusing on a call for Unity and Peace for Harlem, as the theme of the 29th year of this celebration. The event will take place on Tuesday, November 15 (rain date, November 22nd).
$10k Grant Applications Now Open for Independent Harlem Businesses
BET, a subsidiary of Paramount Global, announced today that the Harlem Entrepreneurial Microgrant Initiative, a $100,000 program created to provide support to small Harlem businesses in partnership with the 125th Street Business Improvement District and the Apollo Theater, will be accepting applications as of March 1, 2022 until March 31, 2022.
Nick Cannon To Be Grand Marshal Of The Harlem Holiday Lights Event
The 125th Street Business Improvement District (BID) along with Community Boards 9 & 10, are thrilled to announce that actor, host, comedian, producer, writer, director, DJ, philanthropist, and entrepreneur - Nick Cannon - will serve as the Grand Marshal for the 28th annual Harlem Holiday Lights event to be held on Tuesday, November 16th.

SISTAS: The Musical, at St. Lukes Theatre (308 West 46th St.), opened in October of 2011 and was New York Times critic Ben Brantley's pick of the week, is now poised to add a second Saturday performance to their current schedule starting on March 17. Special group pricing will apply to that show only, ($35/person for groups of 10-49 and $32.50 for groups of 50+).
