In tribute to nearly 30 years of The Cross Culture Visual Art Series' inaugural launch at the US Olympics, “REVEALED”, an interactive art experience at the World Trade Center Oculus, has been launched. Conceived by expressionist painter Al Johnson, whose work involves abstraction and surrealism, REVEALED incorporates the collaboration of The New School's Parsons School of Design, resulting in an immersive experiential experience with virtual support by Spatial.

PEAR SLICES 2021 Opens April 30
Returning each spring, the annual short-play showcase Pear Slices offers up a selection of original, short plays from the members of the Pear Playwrights Guild. Co-directed this year by Troy Johnson and Melinda Marks, the current crop of vignettes will be presented as a filmed-live video, accessible online beginning April 30. Gallery Players Announced 23rd Annual Black Box New Play Festival
The Black Box New Play Festival is Gallery Players' signature festival of new works by both new and established playwrights, featuring world premieres of new comedies and dramas. Now in its 23rd year, the festival will premiere 18 new plays over the course of three weekends. The festival opens Thursday, January 9 and runs through January 26, with a new collection of plays presented each week. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30PM, and Sundays at 3PM. There will be a talk back with the playwrights directly after the Sunday matinees.
Therapists, Astrologers, More Talk Finding 'Love' This Summer At The Marsh
Steve Budd, who returns to perform Thursdays and Saturdays July 19 - August 18 at The Marsh San Francisco, has added a special one-afternoon-only performance of his hit show What They Said About Love at 2pm, Sunday, August 12. He also announces a line-up of post-show events including visits from relationship and sex experts, astrologers, and more, who will help audiences explore whether love is in their stars, and how people really connect. What They Said About Love will play from July 19-August 18, 2018 with performances at 8:00pm Thursdays, 5:00pm Saturdays, plus one 2:00pm, Sunday, August 12 at The Marsh San Francisco, 1062 Valencia St., San Francisco. Now in its fifteenth year, Pear Slices presents fifteen-minute vignettes: a stunning variety of stories, settings, and plot twists occupy the Pear Theatre stage, penned by local playwrights and brought to life with a single cast of highly versatile, local actors. "Pear Slices 2018," directed by Robyn Ginsburg Braverman and Troy Johnson, previews on May 3, with press and Opening Night on Friday, May 4, followed by a champagne gala.
