BIO

Aviad Arik Herman (Israel/Sweden) is the official designer for Miss Universe Sweden since 2013 and has been a professional dance artist for over 15 years. Studied Fashion design at the Swedish Art College and participated as a finalist at Sweden’s annual fashion fair & contest for promising designers ‘Fresh Fish’. Featured in Uptempo Fashion Magazine, Vogue Italy & Malta Fashion Week. Herman’s design for Miss Germany was nominated as Top 5 Best Costumes at Miss Universe 2014 in Miami, and Miss Austria’s controversial costume in 2015 in Las Vegas took the world media’s attention by storm. Previously also designed for National Dance Company of Spain, Ballet Hispanico, The Washington Ballet, BalletX, Whim W’him, American Academy of Ballet, Dominican National Ballet, Israel Ballet, Kamea Contemporary Dance Company, Fresco Dance Company, Royal Swedish Ballet School, Gothenburg Opera Dance Company, Cullberg Ballet, Ballet Mainz, Ballet Chemnitz, Delattre Dance Company, Polish TV show “Must be the Music”, Miss World Denmark, and even for the world's most famous fashion icon - Barbie, in Mattel's original all-dance musical - "Barbie Live!”

BARBIE LIVE!, the musical, follows the story of Barbie (Chelsea Rae Bernier) and her best friend Teresa (Kristina Miller) who are both starring in their new Hollywood movie. But when Teresa becomes uncertain of accepting the role assigned to her--doubting her talent--Barbie comes to the rescue. Barbie then starts to tell stories of the 'Swan Lake,' 'Mariposa' and 'Princess and the Popstar' to teach Teresa to be confident and believe in herself. Teresa eventually accepts the role as Barbie's co-star.
