It was only a matter of time before someone put the story of that secret apartment on stage. You know the one, from back in the aughts, when a group of local artists built a hidden room in the Providence Place Mall and lived in it for four years. Well, another local arts collective, The Harpies, have written an interesting musical which takes that apartment as the core, and builds a story around it.

FirstWorks announces that Philip Glass, the iconic American composer, will come to Providence for a special performance and a series of intimate conversations with local audiences and students. Along with celebrated solo violinist Tim Fain, Glass will perform his own compositions in 'An Evening of Chamber Music' tonight, February 25, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Auditorium (The Vets).

The Symphony League of Canton Presents DINING AT THE IN PLACE 2014- MID SUMMER MAGIC, 6/29
The Symphony League of Canton invites you to attend Dining at the In Place 2014 - Mid Summer Magic ! on Sunday, June 29, 2014 beginning at 5:00 in the evening. This signature fundraising event features individual dinner parties prepared by professional chefs in nine fabulous homes throughout the Glenmoor neighborhood located in Canton. Margaret Cirone, Fundraising Chair of the Symphony League remarks, “Each year great neighborhoods in our community open their hearts and homes to help raise needed funds to support the educational outreach programs of the Canton Symphony Orchestra. Everyone who attends is sure to enjoy a magical evening filled with fabulous food and friendship”. The reservation deadline is June 16, 2014 and tickets are $125.00 per person.
