BWW Review: The Cherry Arts Presents a Masked Outdoor Production of THE FAN
Theater audiences, performers, and creative teams have certainly been longing for a live onstage production since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, audiences in Ithaca, New York had their chance to see a creative approach to a live performance with The Cherry Arts fully masked production of the entertaining farce, The Fan by Carlo Goldini under the creative adaptation of director Samuel Buggeln. The performances are now available to watch online and were performed live in front of an audience that was distanced, outdoor, and masked following all of New York state’s safety precautions and guidelines.
The Hangar Theatre Company to Present THE SKIN OF OUR TEETH
The Hangar Theatre Company opens its 46th summer season (and first ever virtual season), with a reading of The Skin of Our Teeth by Thornton Wilder on Saturday, May 23rd. The cast consists of over 20 artists who live in the Ithaca area, or who have appeared in a Hangar Mainstage production.

The Hangar Theatre Company Presents OR, WHAT SHE WILL
The Hangar Theatre Company opens its 45th Mainstage summer season with the farce, Or, What She Will, a fast and witty play directed by Morgan Gould. This play by Liz Duffy Adams imagines Aphra Behn, the first recognized female playwright, during one raucous, racy night in the 1600s. Performances will run from June 13-22 with matinee and evening shows.

Peter Sarsgaard Leads CSC's HAMLET, Opening Tonight
Classic Stage Company presents William Shakespeare's HAMLET, starring acclaimed actor Peter Sarsgaard as Hamlet, and directed by Austin Pendleton. Previews for HAMLET began on March 27 at CSC (136 East 13th Street) for a limited engagement through May 10. The official press opening is tonight, April 15.

Someone Who'll Watch Over Me focuses on the trials and tribulations of an Irishman, an Englishman and an American who are kidnapped and held hostage in a nondescript location in Lebanon. As the three men strive for survival, they also find themselves trying to overcome both their personal grudges towards one another, and their nationalistic differences, all under the watchful eyes and ears of their captors.

Greater Austin High School Musical Theater Awards Set for the Long Center Tonight
It will be a night of firsts for performing arts in Austin, Texas! The First Annual Greater Austin High School Musical Theatre Awards (GAHSMTA) will be held at the Long Center, tonight, April 17 at 7:30pm. Not only will it be the first large scale project fully produced in-house by Austin's iconic performing arts venue on Lady Bird Lake, but also it will be the first time the Long Center has partnered with ZACH Theatre and The University of Texas at Austin College of Fine Arts.
