Aurelia Michael was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, where she began her dance training at the Dance Theatre of Harlem. She continued studying dance throughout college, earning a Bachelors of Arts at the University of Maryland, College Park.
Jumping right into the commercial dance world after college, Aurelia has had the opportunity to work with incredible choreographers. Her credits include the Hunger Games Mocking Jay, Netflix, Cartoon Network, the TLC Network, The Gap, Smirnoff, BET Black Girls Rock with Janelle Monae, Xbox 360, Mattel, The Today Show, Abby Lee’s “Dance Moms.”, and the international tour “Every Little Step”. Aurelia has also been blessed with many opportunities to teach all around the country, as well as internationally and assist choreographers in Mexico and Peru, as well as assisting with several artists including Alicia Keys, Janelle Monae, and Carly Rae Jepsen.
Most recently adventuring into the musical theater world, her credits now include Legally Blonde: The Musical, Ghost: The Musical, and the Broadway-bound new musical SUMMER: The Donna Summer Musical at La Jolla Playhouse.
