Voted as the "Most Unique" and the "Most Talented" in the high school yearbook, Ashley Jana has always been one of the most creative, intuitive, and quirky artists in the room. Ashley was raised on a US Army Base in Seoul, South Korea as an American citizen of British and Jordanian descent, and her childhood was spent on the upright piano where her and her sister would sing their favorite songs from musicals like Rent, Les Miserables, West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, and so many more. It was during these early years that Ashley developed a deep love and admiration for the art-form as well as a strong musical foundation in which she built her career. Ashley learned to play the piano at a very young age and discovered her love for writing music as a teen. When she was 19, she moved to New York City to pursue music professionally. Since then, she has garnered over 20 million streams collectively across all platforms as a dance/pop artist, a total of 20 of her songs have been featured on the hit show Dance Moms, she worked with Grammy winner Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins and helped write for the hit show "Empire", she wrote for superstars like the kpop group TWICE and Italian sensation Giorgia, and her music has been featured on HBO, NBC, Showtime, Lifetime, Bravo, Vice, Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, CNN, TLC, TNT, Oxygen, and more. Ashley Jana also has her own home studio where she writes, records, produces, mixes, and masters music, and where she provides a wide variety of online music production services, and she is now working on the studio album version of her new musical called FIGARO. A few years back, the stars aligned and Ashley met award winning theater Director, Will Nunziata (who co-conceived the musical with Ashley and is attached as Director, more at www.WillNunziata.com). Will gave Ashley the confidence to return to her roots and pursue the style of music that she was always destined for - musical theatre.
