The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street at the corner of Elizabeth Street in NYC), the arts center of the Archdiocese of New York, celebrates Christmas with a line-up of events for the whole family enjoy. Seasonal programming features live music, theater and special events with Grammy, Tony and Emmy Award nominee Vanessa Williams; His Eminence, Timothy Cardinal Dolan; Broadway veterans Ken Jennings, Norm Lewis and Michael Urie; former New York Yankees legend and Latin Grammy-nominated jazz guitarist Bernie Williams; Grammy Award winner George Winston;Celtic musicians Lúnasa with singer Ashley Davis; acclaimed jazz vocal group New York Voices; and award-winning Venetian singer and songwriter Giada Valenti.

Programming features an acclaimed musical celebrating an historical moment of peace at wartime, inspired by music; Grammy Award winner George Winston; five of New York's most distinguished contemporary pianists celebrating a contemporary classical masterpiece; internationally acclaimed Irish acoustic musicians, Lúnasa, in a an Irish Christmas celebration featuring live Gaelic music and story telling; and The Sheen Center's annual Christmas celebration featuring choirs, carols, and a special appearance by Broadway's Tony nominated Harry Potter, Jamie Parker.

The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture has announced its 2018 Fall/Winter season, a rich program of theater, film, music, poetry, art, and talk events featuring artists and thought leaders including Princeton professors Cornel Westand Robert P. George; Grammy Award winner George Winston; two-time Tony Award nominee, Grammy nominee, and author Reg E. Gaines; Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award and Oscar-winning writer and director John Patrick Shanley; Pulitzer Prize winning poet Sharon Olds; the Tony-nominated star of Harry Potter & The Cursed Child, Jamie Parker;Suzzy Roche and Lucy Wainwright Roche with special guests The Indigo Girls; Benedictine nun and former Hollywood leading lady Mother Dolores Hart, O.S.B.; Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of New York; and events tackling topical national themes including civility on college campuses; police and refugee relations; and race, faith and identity politics.
