Asher Muldoon (he/him) is a writer, actor, and comedian based in NYC. He is currently an undergrad at Princeton University, pursuing a degree in English with certificates in Music Theater and Composition.
He’s been acting since he was a child, taking part in the annual production of A Christmas Carol at McCarter Theater. In early 2019 he took a leave from college to join the National Tour of Dear Evan Hansen, understudying the roles of Jared Kleinman and Connor Murphy.
Asher’s first musical, an adaptation of Pat McCabe’s The Butcher Boy, was workshopped at the Irish Repertory Theater in 2018, and will have its premiere production there in the summer of 2022. His work in musical theater has been performed at NYMF, UC Irvine, Baryshnikov Arts Center, The Irish Arts Center, Princeton University, and McCarter Theater. He also frequently writes sketches and comedy songs as part of the Writers’ Workshop for the Princeton Triangle Club.
In addition to writing, he has music directed and written songs for multiple student productions, and has interned with puppeteer Basil Twist and director Oskar Eustis. He has improv training from UCB, PIT, and the Young Actor’s Theatre in London.
He also loves things besides theater, but you'd never know it. Among these are cooking, reading, horror films, and of course Snapple.
Proud member of Actors’ Equity and the Dramatists Guild!
