On May 13 Dan Le Franc was awarded the 2010 New York Times Outstanding Playwright Away for isplay SIXTY MILES TO SILVER LAKE. During the ceremony Arthur Sulzberger, Jr, publisher of the New York Times presented Le Franc the award and a check for $5,000.

McCraney Wins 1st NY Times Outstanding Playwright Award For The Brothers Size

The New York Times Company announced today that its first New York Times Outstanding Playwright Award, a prize to honor an American playwright with a recent professional theater debut in New York City, will be awarded to Tarell Alvin McCraney for his play 'The Brothers Size.'
