GUIDING LIGHT Stars Join Cast Of PERFECT CRIME To Celebrate Its 33rd Year
Executive-Producer Armand Hyatt today announced that two Emmy-nominated and beloved soap stars are joining the cast of Off-Broadway's longest running play, PERFECT CRIME this month, celebrating the record-breaking murder mystery as it enters its historic 33rd year of performances. Both Robert Newman and Grant Aleksander of GUIDING LIGHT fame will be taking on the role of Detective James Ascher in the classic whodunit that continues its run in the Anne L. Bernstein Theater at The Theater Center. Mr. Newman will perform in the role now through May 8th and May 24th - June 16th and Mr. Aleksander will perform in the role May 10th - May 22nd and June 17th - June 30th. PERFECT CRIME, NYC's longest running play, will have a performance tonight at 8 PM and tomorrow at 2 PM. Despite Hurricane Sandy's destruction in New York and beyond, producer's of Perfect Crime have decided to run the show tonight and continue their legacy. The play, a romantic thriller, often compared to Agatha Christie's Mousetrap, has run for 25 years in New York and will not let a hurricane stop their record-breaking run.

The event recognized Catherine Russell, star and general manager of Perfect Crime, for her record-breaking twenty two-year run in Perfect Crime and her induction into The Guinness Book of World Records.
'PERFECT CRIME' Performs Matinee For Mensa Geniuses 12/6
Perfect Crime, the Off Broadway psychological thriller, will partner with Mensa, the high IQ society, for a special matinee performance on Saturday, December 6, 2008 that will feature an audience of Mensa geniuses who will attempt to solve the mystery behind the longest-running play in the history of New York theater. The event will also feature a post-show discussion with Alison Gaylin, Edgar-nominated author of Hide Your Eyes, You Kill Me and Heartless, who will speak about the psychology of the criminal mind.
