Double Feature Announces Debut Season, August 21- September 9
Two Classic Plays. One Secret Location. This summer, a turn-of-the-century Brooklyn brownstone hosts two intimate, site-specific productions: A Midsummer Night's Dream directed by Katherine Wilkinson (Finding Avi at La Jolla Playhouse, Bloom Bloom Pow at New Georges, LORDES at the Ice Factory) invites you upstairs before the sun sets and Macbeth directed by Mikhaela Mahony (Dido of Idaho at EST, Dear Erich at New York City Opera) calls you down to the basement after dark.

Mint Theate Presents THE PRICE OF THOMAS SCOTT
Meet Miss Baker has begun, with previews of The Price of Thomas Scott, directed by Mint Theater Artistic Director Jonathan Bank. Performances began January 24th and continue through March 23rd at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). Opening Night is set for February 20th.

Mint announced "Meet Miss Baker," Mint's latest effort in its ongoing commitment to create new life for neglected women playwrights. From Pulitzer-Prize winning plays by Zona Gale and Susan Glaspell, to forgotten works by Rachel Crothers, Cicely Hamilton, Githa Sowerby, Hazel Ellis, Maurine Dallas Watkins, Lillian Hellman, Rose Franken and Dawn Powell, Mint has long been a champion of neglected plays by women. Up next is English playwright Elizabeth Baker, who will receive three productions, each getting their American premiere, over the next two years.

The second company completing its residency this spring is Our Voices Theater, presenting the world premiere of Obie Award winner Charles Mee's SOOT AND SPIT, directed by Kim Weild, running now through June 17, 2017. The Archive Residency, a collaboration between New Ohio Theatre and IRT Theater (likeminded neighbors in the historic Archive Building in the West Village), is a vital incubator for New York City's most electrifying independent theater companies. Now in its fourth year, the two-year residency offers each company an artistic home -- space, support, and institutional continuity for the development and presentation of a new work. Each residency culminates with a world premiere production.
