Arianna Rose is an award-winning playwright and musical theatre writer whose works have been produced nationally and internationally in twenty-seven states and Canada, England, Australia, Israel, Scotland, Germany and Thailand. Participant in the 2022 Kennedy Center Playwright Intensive and William Inge Theatre Festival Playlab. Arianna was one of four playwrights, and the only woman, selected for the Miami-Dade Council of Cultural Affairs 2019-2021 PLAY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM facilitated by playwright Kia Corthron. Since 2020, Arianna has served as Dramatists Guild Ambassador for the South Florida Region. She won the 2012 MAC Award for Song of the Year for “He’s On His Way” with composer Robby Stamper. Her one-act play FAMILY BY NUMBERS has been awarded Best Play in two different one-act play festivals and had it’s production world premiere at Theatre Three; it's been produced all over the country and is published in two Best Short Play Anthologies. A BIG OCEAN won the Artistic Merit Award in the Know Theatre’s Artists & Playwrights Festival. She was a 2019-2020 lyricist finalist for the Kleban Award for Musical Theatre. Arianna is a recipient of NYC’s York Theatre NEO (New Emerging Outstanding Writer). She is the founder and moderator of the writers group Plays on Purpose in South Florida.
Full-length plays: TOUCH THE MOON (selected for a staged reading in the New Year, New Works Play Festival at the Sandrell Rivers Theater in Miami, FL in March 2020, HRC Showcase Theatre in Hudson, NY; Walking Shadow Readers Theatre in Washington DC, and a podcast with Deans Productions PREMIERE THE PLAY in Los Angeles. It was a finalist for the Garry Marshall Theatre New Works Festival.
Her full-length play THE EQUIVALENT OF SENSATION, about the Cone Sisters and Gertrude Stein, has had extensive development, including being one of five plays selected nationwide for the Tony Finstrom New Works Festival, the By Scratch Festival in Miami FL; Just Write Lakeland, Alumnae Theatre New Ideas Festival in Toronto, and WriteHer New Play Festival in Los Angeles. Her one-act play MAKE MULCH FROM IT was selected for FIGHT LIKE A GIRL 2 in Manchester England; Drunken Owl Theatre Company in Seattle, Viterbo New Works Festival in Wisconsin, and Theatre Lab@FAU in Boca Raton.

Arianna is a recipient of the Paulette Goddard Theatre Scholarship and a Theatre Professor at Broward College in South Florida. Adjunct Professor of the Year, 2022-2023. She is also a professional Dramaturg and member of LMDA. MFA: NYU Tisch Musical Theatre Writing; B.A.: Bucknell University, Theatre.
