It is a breath of fresh air seeing a production that is all about laughs and silliness. No message, no plot... just a terrific comedic cast making an audience forget about life for a bit. In BroadHollow Theatre Company's boffo showing of the off-Broadway hit Forbidden Broadway's Greatest Hits, they show the staunch theatre snobs that it's OK to have a sense of humor about their beloved shows.

The kids in Sweet Apple, Ohio are hooting and hollering over the arrival of Conrad Birdie and so is the audience over at the Broadhollow Theatre Company in Elmont. Bye Bye Birdie, the Broadway smash musical from 1960, is back and better than ever! Albert, Rosie, Hugo and Kim are also here to bring us back to a much simpler time when kids were kids and music sounded like music.

See, everyone? Getting older doesn't have to be boring or frightening. As depicted in the adorable production of Assisted Living, The Musical, it can be an interesting ride to embrace. For the satirical tale, creators Rick Compton and Betsy Bennett created an eclectic collection of characters, portrayed by two actors, to make light in reaching the twilight years living in a retirement community.
