ARIANA VALDES [she/they] is a New York City based Cuban-American multi-hyphenate performing artist, director, private voice teacher, and arts educator, currently serving as Artistic Director of the Ensign-Darling Vocal Fellowship - New Voices, a vocal scholarship and talent development program at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts in Hartford, CT. With EDVF-NV, Ariana has directed and conceptualized several showcase concert performances, including a professionally filmed documentary style showcase concert entitled, “Time, Dreams, and the Changes Between” at The Bushnell, chronicling the experience of 6 graduating seniors in high school, as they worked towards creating a performance during the height of the pandemic (available to stream on YouTube). Ariana studied Vocal Performance with an Opera Emphasis with Patty Thom at The Boston Conservatory, where she sang roles in Cosi fan tutte (Despina), A Hand of Bridge (Geraldine), and Serse (Atalanta).
