With many connections in the Broadway world, through work as a celebrity photo agent and former Bureau Chief of Rex Features, London Features,& NY Celebrity Photo, when Broadway publicists and PR agents need help, April Sandmeyer is their first "go- to person" for Broadway / theatrical /art/ photo/editoral research. Right hand to PR bigbig, Claire O'Connor, April Sandmeyer, worked behind the scenes on many of Broadway's publicity projects. Independently, she coordinated artwork for the launch of Paul Simon's "The Capeman and Disney's "Beauty & the Beast". Her help to the Friedman family was instrumental in the rededication of the Biltmore Theater as the Samuel J. Friedman Theater in 2008. Most recently, she has been assisting with bringing Robert Wilson's "The Patio" to Broadway. April also consults on various casting projects, hiring hundreds of actresses and actors each year. She was mentioned in "I'm Here, Now What-An Artists Survival Guide to New York City" by Amy Harrell, as an exta income source for actors. April Sandmeyer is an avid supporter of the arts and a familiar face on opening night on Broadway.

The annual National Meningitis Association (NMA) Give Kids a Shot Gala was once again an emotion filled evening but a stellar success in aiding the fight against meningitis, a potentially vaccine preventable disease. Held in the elegant ballrooms of the historic New York Athletic Club with phenomenal views of Central Park as a backdrop, hundreds of New York's movers and shakers turned out to support the cause and also to congratulate meningitis survivor & Para Olympic Gold Medalist Nick Springer, an Honorary Chair along with Ambassador & Mrs. John L. National Meningitis Association Gala 2013, Hosted by Richard Thomas, Set for Today

Tonight, April 22, 2013, National Meningitis Association will hold its annual Give Kids a Shot Gala. The event takes place at the New York Athletic Club, 180 Central Park South, New York tonight, April 22, 2013. Cocktails & Silent Auction begin at 7:00 PM followed by dinner & the NMA Awards. Master of Ceremonies is iconic actor Richard Thomas, a longtime supporter of NMA and winner of the organization's Nancy Ford Springer Inspiration Award.
