Marriott International Shines at Straight for Equality Gala
Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE: MAR) boosted its longstanding history of embracing differences recently during the Straight for Equality Gala. Apoorva Gandhi, Marriott's vice president of multicultural markets and alliancesco-hosted this year's gala along with Jimmie Paschall, executive vice president of enterprise diversity and inclusion at Wells Fargo. The event put on by the national chapter of Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) honored straight allies in the fields of sports, literature and entertainment for their work in championing equal rights for all.

On Thursday, April 28th, Renaissance Hotels and RLife LIVE, presented a special performances by renowned DJ Mia Moretti and electric violinist Caitlin Moe and the cast of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, all as part of an exclusive gathering co-hosted by superstar Cyndi Lauper. The event, also sponsored by American Airlines with cocktails courtesy of GREY GOOSE® Vodka, included a silent auction with proceeds benefitting Cyndi Lauper's True Colors Fund in an effort to engage everyone on LGBT equality and respect, while raising awareness about LBGT youth homelessness. This special event is part of a larger Renaissance Hotels program designed to celebrate diversity and inclusion within the hospitality, travel and tourism community.
