BIO

Anthony Marino is a passionate artist hailing from the borough of Brooklyn, New York. As the co-founder and creative force behind brooklynONE productions (bkONE), he has established himself as a prominent figure in the local theatre and entertainment scene, with a mission rooted in community, innovation, and storytelling.

With a lifelong love for the performing arts, Anthony began his artistic journey at a young age. From early experiences in community theatre to earning a degree in Theatre Arts from Wagner College, he has honed his craft with a blend of classical training and creative experimentation. Drawing inspiration from his Brooklyn roots and the city's rich cultural landscape, Anthony has cultivated a unique artistic voice that fuses contemporary sensibilities with deep respect for traditional storytelling.

In 2006, Anthony co-founded brooklynONE productions with Tom Kane—a dynamic theatre company dedicated to producing engaging, thought-provoking work that reflects the diverse experiences of Brooklynites and beyond. Over nearly two decades, bkONE has become a home for emerging voices and seasoned artists alike, championing original plays, festivals, music events, film screenings, and immersive arts programming.

Anthony’s vision took an exciting leap forward with the opening of The Tom Kane Theatre at Industry City, a fully-operational black box performance space and creative hub. Under his leadership, bkONE has transformed the venue into a cultural destination within Brooklyn's thriving Industry City campus, offering everything from mainstage productions and art gallery exhibitions to film festivals, educational workshops, and community events.

He has spearheaded countless initiatives that bring together theatre, film, music, and visual arts—such as the annual One Act Festival, the Dyker Lights holiday film series, and original productions like *The Heavens of Hell* and *The Way It Went Down*. His curatorial work at Industry City also includes rotating gallery shows, youth arts programming, and themed pop-up events that merge entertainment with interactive experiences.

Beyond his work at bkONE, Anthony is a frequent collaborator with other theatres, nonprofits, and educational institutions—offering mentorship, direction, and performance training to the next generation of artists. His dedication to community-building through the arts remains at the heart of all he does.

As he continues to expand the reach of BrooklynONE and The Tom Kane Theatre, Anthony Marino remains a tireless advocate for accessible, transformative art—creating a space where stories are told, voices are elevated, and the magic of live performance is celebrated by all.
