Global Dance Brand Capezio(R) Taps Lynn Shanahan as Chief Executive Officer

Capezio, a fourth-generation family-owned and operated business, has named fashion industry veteran, Lynn Shanahan, as its CEO.  Shanahan is the first non-family member to run the dance industry's most revered footwear and apparel brand. She is also the company's first female CEO in its 130-year-old history and is herself, an award-winning, competitive ballroom dancer.

ROLEX Career Transition For Dancers 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee was a complete sell out with everyone of the 2,700 seats at City Center filled. Over 800 guests went on the the Hilton for the Anniversary supper, the live luxury auction and dancing with the dancers. The evening raised a cool $ 1.2 Million which will go to CTFD's scholarship programs. Allen Brill, ROLEX USA, CEO & President committed to presenting the annual Jubilee for three more years.

Arlene Shuler to Receive Capezio Award 9/22 At New York City Center

The Capezio Ballet Makers Dance Foundation is pleased to announce the selection of Arlene Shuler, President and CEO of New York City Center, as the recipient of the 58th annual Capezio Dance Award. The Foundation is a philanthropic organization funded by the world's premier dance footwear and apparel manufacturer, Capezio Ballet Makers. The Foundation will present the 2009 Capezio Dance Award and the accompanying $10,000 honorarium to Arlene Shuler at the opening performance of this year's Fall for Dance Festival, on September 22, 2009 at New York City Center.
