The theater community is coming together in Times Square today for the first time since Broadway was shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March. The event, 'A Moment for Broadway,' is organized by volunteer organization NYCNext as part of a series of pop-up performances designed to bring renewed vibrancy to New York City.
DANCING GIRL To Be Performed In ASL At She NYC Arts Theater Festival

She NYC Arts will present a limited engagement of Elinor T and Drew Vanderburg's Dancing Girl, directed by Jenny Beth Snyder as part of the fourth annual She NYC Arts Summer Theater Festival at The Connelly Theater (220 East 4th Street, New York, NY 10009). Performances will be on Saturday, June 22 at 12:30pm and Monday, June 24 at 7pm. Tickets ($20) are available for advance purchase at www.shenycarts.org.
Broadway Theaters Begin Rollout of New Access Technology

The Broadway League is coordinating efforts of its New York members who are in the process of introducing new technology to provide an improved theatergoing experience for audience members who are deaf, or who experience hearing or vision loss. These new services, in addition to currently available assistive listening devices, are provided to theatergoers free of charge.

New York Deaf Theatre, in its 36th anniversary season, has announced that it will present CAPTIVE AUDIENCE: AN EVENING OF SHORT PLAYS BY DAVID IVES Saturday, November 7th through Sunday, November 22nd at the June Havoc Theatre at Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex 312 West 36th Street. The production will have its official opening on Wednesday, November 11th at 7:30PM.
