Scallywags set sail across the seven seas to swarm a swashbuckling soiree as TheatreWorks Silicon Valley hosted its spring fundraiser, The Pirates of the Shores of Redwood. Donning tricorn hats, head scarves, and other pirate finery, the party pirates feasted on fancy grub, indulged in grog and other spirits, plundered a bounty of priceless treasures and once-in-a-lifetime adventures, and enjoyed rollicking musical performances in a nautical night of merriment and hijinks to support the Tony Award-winning theatre company as it prepares to resume in-person performances this Fall.
TheatreWorks Raises Funds With Bond-Themed Virtual Gala

A legion of fans and supporters of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley gathered online Saturday, October 17 for TheatreWorks's first-ever virtual gala, From TheatreWorks with Love: A Party with Bond… Tim Bond, a 007-themed event that celebrated new Artistic Director Tim Bond as he begins his tenure at the Tony Award-winning theatre company.

Stars of stage and screen, playwrights, composers, and supporters of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley came together Saturday, November 2, 2019 to celebrate the acclaimed regional theatre at And the Tony Award Goes To…Celebrating TheatreWorks at 50, a once-in-a-lifetime event honoring the company's half-century and its 2019 Regional Theatre Tony® Award. Some 480 guests attended this extraordinary event which raised nearly $800,000 for TheatreWorks marking it the most attended and most successful fundraiser in the company's history. Guests appropriately gathered in the heart of Silicon Valley at Mountain View's Computer History Museum for cocktails, dinner, and a lively auction, then proceeded to the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, where a stellar array of TheatreWorks alumni returned to pay tribute to its history through words and music.

TheatreWorks Brings Back the 70s with Fundraising Gala this November 12

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announces the launch of the first ever Party of the Decade - an extraordinary evening of food, wine, dance, and an incredible benefit auction. For its inaugural event, TheatreWorks will revisit the decade of its founding: the 1970s. A golden era for art, music, and culture, in the 1970s the world watched John Travolta strut his stuff to "Stayin' Alive," the Steve Miller band inspired San Franciscans to "Fly Like an Eagle," and in Palo Alto, a young Robert Kelley created a play for youth - the first step in creating the nationally acclaimed company known as TheatreWorks Silicon Valley. TheatreWorks, the nationally-acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, presents a night full of magical fun with its 11th annual Anything Goes -taking place for the first time this year at the luxurious Palo Alto Hills Golf and Country Club. For this unique fundraiser, guests are invited to visit TheatreWorks' massive costume shop in the weeks prior to the event, where they are able to choose their party attire from the hundreds of costumes used in TheatreWorks' past productions. In previous years, guests have been attired as everything from go-go dancers to the Pope, Cinderella's prince to Samurai warriors, and from Sweeney Todd to Lady Bracknell. This year's festivities will be conducted by the Master of Ceremonies, Golden Globe Award-winner and three-time Emmy-nominee Bill Grundfest. Attendees will enjoy a cocktail hour, followed by a sumptuous dinner, dessert dash, and live auction, then will dance the night away against the sweeping views of the Palo Alto Hills.
