Production images are released today for the multi-award-winning and much-loved La Soir e as it takes up residency in its new West End home. La Soir e and its brand new family-friendly show, La Petite Soir e is at the Aldwych Theatre until 3 February 2018. La Soir e will officially open on Friday 1 December. So the country's criminal cases have become the stuff of legend, including the child rape case in Rifsaedasel of 1837, which is as infamous to Icelanders as The Manson Family is to Americans. Contemporary Icelandic playwright Hrafnhildur Hagalin revisits this infamous case with 'Guilty' (2014), a verse play that gracefully and provocatively examines issues of obsession and mercy which cling to it to this day.

August Strindberg Repertory Theatre, under the leadership of Robert Greer, is committed to production of his plays in new translations and interpretations that illuminate the plays of Sweden's national playwright, whose work remains as relevant today as when they were written. BWW REVIEWS: EMPIRE: Welcome To A Different World
The cabaret and circus worlds infused last night as incredibly talented performers welcomed their audience into the wonderful world of Empire at the return season of this ridiculously thrilling show. The intimate nature of the show captures your attention and imagination from the moment you step into the tent and that imagination is taken on a whirlwind ride through the vaudevillian world captured so aptly by its creative team led by director Terence O'Connell and choreographer John 'Cha Cha O'Connell.

August Strindberg Repertory Theatre (www.strindberg.org), which was formed last year to illuminate Strindberg's plays for today's American audiences, will present Strindberg's 'Easter' (Pask, 1901) with an all-black cast, adapted and directed by Robert Greer, from March 8 to 31 at the Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street (East Village). The play has a similar complement of characters to Strindberg's 'Playing With Fire' (Leka med elden, 1893), with which the young company made an auspicious debut last Spring. Cast members from 'Playing With Fire' will be returning to play their corresponding roles in 'Easter.'

From October 26 to November 17, August Strindberg Repertory Theatre will present an innovative double-bill of Strindberg's plays, 'Casper's Fat Tuesday,' translated by Jonathan Howard, and 'The Stronger,' translated by Robert Greer. The evening is a 'sweet and sour' pairing of one undiscovered play and a novel adaptation of a more familiar one. Both translations are world premieres. The plays will be directed by Robert Greer, produced by the Strindberg Rep and the Pink Pig Ballet in association with Theater Resources Unlimited, and performed at Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street (East Village).
