Brooklyn Book Festival to Return in September With Over 150 Authors
The Brooklyn Book Festival will return in 2022 with a strong roster of authors in stirring discussions of contemporary works, and their intricate examination and vivid reflection of our moment. From September 25–October 3, the extensive, inclusive nine-day festival invites readers to hear from some of today’s most acclaimed authors.
DADDY'S EYES Added to Oscar-Qualifying LA Shorts International Film Festival
DADDY’S EYES is produced by Drew Ann and John K. Anderson, and written by Anderson; additional talent includes director of photography Byron Werner, editor Steven Nevius, production designer Kelsey Wright, and costume designer Danielle “Dani” Brown. Music was scored by John Ballinger, with additional music production by Mike Farrell.
Annie Korzen's New Hit Solo Show Opens in Santa Monica
Annie Korzen, best known for her role as the Seinfeld parent's obnoxious Boca Vista neighbor, has written and will perform an original show about her hectic, eclectic and electric life on the big and small screens. Producers from Jane the Virgin to Brooklyn 99 call Korzen in when they need someone who can get a laugh on one line. Jill Soloway, creator of the Emmy-winning Transparent, says, "Annie Korzen is a force of nature - hilarious, brilliant, and a true inspiration."
Final Lineup Announced for LIGHTNING IN A BOTTLE FESTIVAL
Lightning in a Bottle (LIB) has announced the lineups for the Landing and Haven areas, both part of LIB's new educational hub debuting this year, The Compass, designed to empower and engage individuals. The roster of speakers and presenters will treat festivalgoers to immersive workshops surrounding grassroots political activism, social justice, climate change and indigenous land rights, digital activism, identifying truth in journalism and social media, decolonization, art activism, and more.
