Nettle Creek Players Announce 2019 Season
Nettle Creek Players, a 501c3 not-for-profit arts organization in Hagerstown, Indiana, has announced its 2019 troupe of visiting professional theatre artists who will live in the community for nine weeks as they prepare and present the Nettle Creek Players 2019 Summer Stock Tent Theatre Season featuring productions of JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, GERSHWIN & FRIENDS: A BROADWAY SONGBOOK CABARET, and RUMPELSTILTSKIN, OR THE FAIRIE'S SECRET NAME. Performances of JOESPH will be at 7:30pm on July 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 25, 26 & 27 & 5:00pm on July 7 with GERSHWIN & FRIENDS at 5:00pm on July 14, 21 & 28 and RUMPELSTILTSIKIN at 11:00am on July 20 & 27. All performances will take place in the Nettle Creek Players Show Tent at 150 N. Plum Street in historic downtown Hagerstown, Indiana. 26 PRESENTS: HAPPY HOLIGAYS is the fourth edition of Pride Films and Plays' popular late night performance series inspired by the horror movie anthology THE ABCS OF DEATH. Our nine actors will present 26 scenes each inspired by a word that begins with a letter of the alphabet. Playwrights from across the Chicagoland area have created the 26 unique scenes. Performances will be Today nights at 10:30 pm, December 2, 9 and 16 at The Buena, Pride Arts Center, located at 4147 N Broadway Ave.

Water Works Theatre Company to Receive Royal Oak Community Spirit Award
Royal Oak's own Water Works Theatre Company will be recognized by the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce with its distinguished Community Spirit Award on Tuesday, October 20. The award will be accepted by Water Works founder and lifetime Royal Oak resident Edward Nahhat, on behalf of the company's scores of volunteers, during the Chamber's annual Royal Oak Community Awards held at the Emagine Theatre / Star Lanes, 200 North Main Street in Royal Oak.

Shakespeare Royal Oak's 3rd Show: Romeo And Juliet August 7-8 (ROYAL OAK MI) Water Works Theatre Company announces the schedule and casts for its 15th annual outdoor summer theatre festival, Shakespeare Royal Oak. The festival begins July 27 in Royal Oak's Starr Jaycee Park and continues through Sunday, August 9.
