BIO

Anita graduated from Bush Davies Schools with Honours.
Her most recent West End appearances have been A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM (Peacock) starring Griff Rhys Jones, NAPOLEON (Shaftesbury), MACK & MABEL (Piccadilly) playing the title role of Mabel and Lottie many times, SHE LOVES ME (Savoy) playing the roles of both leading ladies, Amalia and Ilona on numerous occasions and ASPECTS OF LOVE (Prince of Wales) again playing the leading role of Rose Vibert on many occasions. She was the Young Girl in ANYTHING GOES (Prince Edward), also performing the lead roles of Reno and Erma. Anita's other West End credits include Princess of Ababu in KISMET (Shaftesbury), Mr. Higgins' maid in MY FAIR LADY (Adelphi) and CHESS (Prince Edward). She created the role of Electra in the original cast of CATS (New London), and played Isabel in THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE (Drury Lane). She was the original Sophia Stainsley Asherton in ME AND MY GIRL (Adelphi), once again performing the leading roles of Sally and Jaqui on numerous occasions.
Anita's provincial work includes Rachel Wardle in PICKWICK, Dorothy in STEPPING OUT, the Two Ladies in CABARET and Lady Jacqueline Carstone in ME AND MY GIRL. She is often seen in the Late Joys' Bill at the Players' Theatre and has also performed Sunday Night Cabaret at Pizza On The Park. Anita has choreographed and appeared in several pantomimes and summer shows in Dublin, Stevenage, Leicester and Cardiff. She was also responsible for the choreography and musical staging of the 70's musical UP ON THE ROOF, DAMES AT SEA, a rock pantomime JACK AND THE BEANSTALK written and directed by Bob Carlton, A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, for the Queens Theatre, Hornchurch and also for this years Covent Garden Festival at the Peacock Theatre, London and this year, the WW1 musical OH WHAT A LOVELY WAR for the Queens Theatre, Hornchurch.
Television and Radio includes A NIGHT OF 100 STARS, two LAWRENCE OLIVIER AWARDS, A EUROPEAN EVENING OF MUSIC, three ROYAL COMMAND PERFORMANCES, OMNIBUS, H.M. THE QUEEN MOTHER'S 90TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION, MAN ALIVE, THE BILLY BOYLE SHOW, a six-part variety series for RTE Dublin, two episodes of THE BILL, playing Carol, a pub landlady and Lisa a mother of 3. HEY MR PRODUCER for Sir Cameron Mackintosh, Maria in MAN OF LA MANCHA for BBC Radio Three and The Rose Seller in the film MY SUMMER WITH DES for the BBC.
